HOUSTON CHAPTER

Text Box: Diversity Series
Text Box: 2010 Design Competition

The Houston Chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects Innovative Design Solutions competition is focused on showcasing creative design solutions by under-represented participants in the field of design in both the built and un-built environment. Through the generous and sustained support of HNOMA partners and sponsors, the 2010 HNOMA IDC hopes to create excitement and debate related to the role these young professionals can play in the future of the design profession and the built environment.

HNOMA is seeking students, interns and young architects to submit work that best demonstrates innovative design solutions to challenges put before them on past projects. These challenges can be in the form of assignments from professors or a project in an architectural office. The participant must have played a major role in developing an innovative design solution to resolve the program. Submissions can be built or un-built in any area in the field of architecture including but not limited to residential, educational, religious, etc.
